OVERLAND PARK – Overland Park police said a 29-year-old woman and a nine-year-old girl were killed in a three-vehicle accident that closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 69 all morning. Police said Heidi Lynn Adams was the driver of an SIV that crossed the median and hit two pickups head-on early this morning. The SUV overturned and ended in the ditch. Adams was killed. A girl in her SUV, Imogin Adams, was also killed. Two other children in the SUV also were injured, one critically. The drivers of the two pickup trucks also injured and were taken to local hospitals. Police said their injuries aren’t life-threatening.
