TOPEKA – Gov. Sam Brownback has named a Kansas Department of Transportation computer expert as the interim chief information technology officer for the executive branch. Anthony Schlinsog will hold the positi\on in the short term. He has been with KDOT since 2008 and has 16 years of private sector technology experience. Brownback is searching for a permanent IT officer after his first choice, Jim Mann, resigned suddenly last week after the Topeka Capital-Journal reported that he received a college degree from a diploma mill.
