OTTAWA — The controversy continues to simmer in the Ottawa School District over a parent’s complaint that a Eugene Field teacher mishandled an unruly student. At Monday Night’s school board meeting, several district patrons who support the teacher had the chance to talk. Tim Caplan says the problem is a lack of respect for authority.
Martin said the board needs to show support for the teacher
Board President Brandon Jones says he and other board members have received numerous emails about the incident. About 80 people showed up at Monday Night’s board meeting.
