KANSAS CITY — The mother of Jeremy Irwin’s oldest child has filed for custody of their son. The lawyer.for Rasleen Raim said she seeks an emergency motion for temporary custody of their son. The lawyer told the Kansas City Star that Raim is concerned about her eight-year-old son’s “safety, comfort and peace of mind.” The attorney of Irwin and Deborah Bradley, Joe Tacopina, said they intend to fight it. “It’s despicable to see a lady who hasn’t seen her son in six years, has been six years behind in child support, all of a sudden claim to have an interest,” he told ABC New. As news cameras whirred, the family returned home Tuesday night and stayed in the house for the first time since baby Lisa Irwin went missing two months ago. In the weeks since the baby went missing, Tacopina said his clients have lived like nomads, hounded by the press and staying in hiding for their missing daughter’s first birthday. He said the couple will no longer do any more police interviews because they told all they know. “They’ve done it all and they’ve gone above and beyond,” he told ABC. “They’ve answered every question five times. They have no information regarding what happened to this baby. If the police aren’t willing to accept that, well that’s their problem.”
