LAWRENCE — Two Baldwin City-area historic sites will be one of 10 projects that will receive grants from the Douglas County Commission. The county commission approved a $163,000 grant to restore the Robert Hall Pearson Farmhouse on the Black Jack battlefield site near Baldwin City. The Vinland Presbyterian Church will receive $30,000 to preserve the steeple and west side of the building.
