OSAWATOMIE — The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home has received a special use permit to build a new funeral home in Osawatomie next year. Penwell-Gabel director Debby Stout told the Osawatomie Journal that the new site is three blocks away from the present funeral home. She said she can’t hold funerals in the present location and has to find another place. The new chapel will accommodate funerals and have improved parking.
