TOPEKA – Smucker’s has announced recall of some of its peanut butter. Smuckers — one of the biggest and most popular brands of peanut butter — is recalling thousands of 16-ounce jars of Natural Chunky Peanut Butter because of possible salmonella contamination. The jars would have been bought in the past week or so. They have use by dates of August 3rd and 4th of 2012. Smuckers said nobody has reported getting sick. Some of the recalled peanut butter was sold in Kansas.
