OSAGE CITY — A 74-year-old Osage City woman died as a result of a one-vehicle crash late Saturday night when the SUV she was driving struck a pole near South Ninth and Schenk streets. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Margaret Banks was driving south on Ninth Street when her SUV went off the east side of the road, went through a yard, and hit the pole. Troopers said she wasn’t wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Stormont-Vail Medical Center in Topeka, where she died Sunday morning.
