OTTAWA — A 15-year-old Ottawa boy wasn’t fast enough. The Ottawa Police Department reports that Ottawa police officers and Ottawa University security caught up with him after he ran from OU Monday morning. A 19-year-old Parker student reported items were stolen from her car while it was parked at the Ottawa University campus. The teen was taken to the juvenile detention center. The OU theft was one of three reported to Ottawa police received Monday. The USD 290 Adult Education Center, 420 S. Main St., reported burglars broke in over the weekend and took some electronic items. A 50-year-old Ottawa woman reported that someone stole a motor scooter from the 700 block of East Third Street sometime before Monday morning.
