FAIRWAY — The Shawnee Indian Mission’s annual holiday open house will be Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 to 4. The open house will feature 1850s holiday entertainment, decorations, refreshments, and children’s craft projects. Admission and activities will be free during the open house. In addition, the seventh grade students from Pembroke Hill School will perform the comic melodrama “Badness on Brushy Creek or the Perilous Perils of Sweet Purity Goodhart, Kansas Orphan.” Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7 and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 5 and 7. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children must be bought in advance. Proceeds go to the restoration of the west building of the mission.
The mission is at 3403 W. 53rd St. in Fairway.
