OTTAWA — The Ottawa University Class of 1961 has given the university $100,000 to be used for the Roger and Ruth Fredrikson Center for Faith and Church Vitality. Thirty-two members of the class attended their 50th reunion at Ottawa University in October, where they raised money toward the class gift. Class member Morgan Williams said they were pleased to hear about the progress being made by the university. The Fredrikson chapel, which was built in 1965, will receive renovations totaling $1 million as part of the university’s “Advancing the Vision”’ capital campaign. The campaign aims to raise $24.3 million for academic programming, a new library and student center, and renovations.
