OTTAWA — The Ottawa Fire Department’s extrication team proved handy Tuesday night. The team was called to free someone from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Pine Street. The person, who wasn’t identified in the report, got his hand wedged in the seat and could get it removed, said assistant fire chief Richard Oglesby. The team managed to pull his hand out without any special tools, he said.
