TOPEKA — A man wanted for murder in Colorado is suing the Cover couple he held hostage in their home. The Topeka Capital-Journal reportED that while Jesse Dimmick of Denver was fleeing from Kansas police in connection with the murder in Colorado, he charged into the home of Jared and Lindsay Rowley with a knife two years ago. In his court filing, Dimmick said he promised them money in exchange for hiding him from police. They fed him and he fell asleep in front of their television set. They fled their house and called police. He was accidently shot when officers arrested him.
He is suing the Rowleys for breach of contract. He is in jail in Colorado facing trial for the beating death of another Colorado man. The attorney for the couple has asked a judge to dismiss his lawsuit.
