POMONA- West Franklin High School was evacuated Friday night because of what they thought was a gas leak, but turned out to just be a smell from the hot water heaters emanating from an open door to the mechanical room. The boy’s basketball team was in the midst of the fourth quarter of its game and it was relocated to the junior varsity gym. Superintendent Dodson Bradbury says they called in help to make sure everything was clear and okay.
“We called the gas department as well as our management director.” Bradbury says. “He came and assessed the situation. By that time we had evacuated the building.”
