BALDWIN CITY — Firefighters stopped an out-of-control fire from damaging a garage in the 1100 block of Fremont in Baldwin City Friday night. The Baldwin City Volunteer Fire Department said the grass fire was a controlled burn that spread to a large wood pile and threatened a neighbor’s garage. Wellsville firefighters also responded to the fire.
