OSAWATOMIE — The most popular ticket in town in Osawatomie this weekend?
That was those free 600 tickets to see President Obama’s speech Tuesday at Osawatomie High School. When word got out on Obama’s visit, nearly 200 people started lining up Saturday night, said Osawatomie Mayor Phil Dudley. The line stretched three to four city blocks by the time the doors opened up Sunday, he said. “People in line started doing the wave when the doors opened,” he said. While he’s at Osawatomie, the President is expected to make what the White House calls a major speech on the economy.
