OSAWATOMIE — The city of Osawatomie and the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce will have a parking shuttle service to accommodate the large crowds expected at Osawatomie High School for President Obama’s speech. Parking will be at Karl E. Cole Sports Complex, at the corner of 12th & Walnut streets in Osawatomie. Traffic will be directed to Pacific Street from both the east and west to avoid congestion expected around the high school area. Shuttles will begin running this morning at 9 until this afternoon at 1 to take attendees to Vintage Park Assisted Living, which is about two blocks west of the high school. There are accessible sidewalks and flat terrain to the high school. Return shuttles will begin running immediately after the end of the speech, and run until approximately 2:30.
