OTTAWA — Ottawa police are asking for help in finding two men who staged an armed robbery at Dollar General, 2212 S. Princeton, and caused minor injuries to two female employees Tuesday night. Two masked men with cutting instruments or razor blades entered Dollar General shortly before 9 p.m., Ottawa Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said. The robbers left the store on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money, Weingartner said. Police have no leads or suspects in the case, he said. A witness reported seeing a small, blue vehicle leaving the parking lot about the time of the robbery but it’s unknown if the vehicle is connected to the robbery, he said. The robbers are described as white men wearing similarly styles of gray-black coats or hooded sweatshirts, full orange knit face mask or orange neoprene face mask; dark jeans, black shoes; about 5-10 to 6 feet tall, weighing between 150 and 200 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa Police Department at 785-242-1700 or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-311-TIPS (8477).
