OSAWATOMIE — Fun in school? Shooting baskets or playing fun computer games in the middle part of the school day? Yes, indeed. That’s the idea of the enrichment freedom days at Osawatomie Middle School. Assistant principal Darren Soucie told the Osawatomie Journal that enrichment freedom days are designed to reward students for good behavior and good learning. Students also attend enrichment classes for one-on-one help from teachers two days a week, he said. Teacher Gara Chisam said the program has been successful in pushing students to complete their assignments.
