LAWRENCE- Jayhawks fans have something to lift their spirits other than the basketball season. The University of Kansas has signed Charlie Weis as the new football coach. Weis is the most famous football coach KU has landed in a couple of decades. Weis has experience working with college teams as well as in the NFL, including time with the Kansas City Chiefs. As Offensive Coordinator for the Chiefs, KC earned the AFC West Division Title and a playoff appearance. KU will formally introduce Weis tonight during a 5:00 news conference.
