GARNETT — A new community country store has opened west of Garnett. Owner Delmar Yoder said his discount food store stocks salvaged and recent past dated groceries, boxed and canned goods, as well as some pharmacy and general merchandise items from major retail and wholesale outlets. The store will soon open a bulk foods department, as well as bakery and frozen foods area, he said. Previously, Yoder operated a multi-state meat sales route and gained experience in wholesale and salvage buying. The store is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 7 and Saturday from 8 to 3.
