OTTAWA — The Ottawa General Edward Hand chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented Sunshine Elaine Gaddis Oakleaf with a 50-year pin. The most recent 50-year member, Edith Rader, presented the pin to Oakleaf during a meeting at the Franklin County Historical Society’s Archives and Records Center. The pin was formerly worn by Oakleaf’s mother, Sunshine Gaddis, and was originally worn by former chapter regent Helen Weilepp. Historical society director Deborah Barker discussed the society’s special Web site of historical documents.
