GARNETT — Kansas University professor Greg Thomas and students from the KU School of Architecture, Design and Panning will discuss the results of voting for a new city logo and slogan with the Garnett City Commission Tuesday night at 6 at city hall. Thomas and the students will offer suggested uses for the image and slogan, as well as some economic development concepts developed by the students. A special unveiling of the new logo will be held on New Year’s Eve at the Garnett fire station at the conclusion of the ball drop on the town square marking the end of the city’s 150th anniversary celebration. A free pancake breakfast will be served by the city of Garnett to the public by the famous Chris Cakes.
