FREDONIA — A former Ottawa cable television employee charged with a sex crime involving an Ottawa teenager is still at large. Charles Christopher “Chris” Taylor skipped his sentencing in Wilson County District Court in February after he had pleaded guilty to the sex charge and has been at large since. Taylor contacted the Ottawa teen through Facebook and he took her from Ottawa High School to a place near Ffredonia for sex. He left her in Wilson County and as he returned to Ottawa, his employer, Allegiance Cable, used a satellite signal to disable his company truck at the request of Ottawa police. He was the subject of a three-day manhunt in northern Anderson County after he fled after his truck was disabled. He was caught at Allegiance’s tower northwest of Garnett.
