GARNETT — The city of Garnett will host special Christmas event Thursday evening at 5:30 at the gazebo on the Anderson County Courthouse lawn at Garnett. There will singing of Christmas carols, free hot chocolate and cookies; and an opportunity to visit with Santa at 6. The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce said that many Garnett businesses will have extra-hour open hours Thursday night.
