MIAMI COUNTY- It hasn’t even been a year into its existence and the Miami County Arts Coalition has already made great strides in promoting local events and artists. The artwork done for the second annual Art and Wine Stroll in June won the attention of the Governor’s Arts Award. The commemorative poster, created by local artist David Gross, now hangs in the Kansas Arts Commission’s Topeka offices. The coalition is preparing for next year’s Art and Wine Stroll and has plans to host a competition in deciding which local artist will be featured for the 2012 event.
