PAOLA – The Miami County Republic reported that Miami County authorities are investigating last week’s death of a three-year-old Paola boy. A Miami County EMS ambulance was summoned to an apartment house at 101 E. Wea St. when they found the child, who police didn’t identify, in cardiac arrest. Despite efforts to save the boy, he was pronounced dead at Miami County Medical Center. An autopsy was scheduled. Police told the paper that his mother and other family members were at the home when the emergency center was called.
