MERRIAM — A 29-year-old Gardner woman was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital after she dropped her cell phone in her car Wednesday. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Channele Payne was driving north on I-35 in Merriam when she dropped her cell phone. Troopers said while she was reaching for it, she lost control of the car and it struck the concrete wall.
