LAWRENCE — A New Jersey-based firm is moving its North American headquarters to Lawrence’s East Hills Business Park. The Lawrence Journal-World reported that API Foils will create 17 new high-level jobs in Lawrence, some filled by locals, because of the move. API Foils, which makes the shiny foils used on greeting cards, high-end labels and other packaging; will move the corporate offices into its existing Lawrence production plant by June. The company has 52 employees at its plant. The newspaper said the company is making the move without a tax abatement or other financial incentives from the city of Lawrence or Douglas County, but is receiving incentives and tax credits from the state.
