OSAWATOMIE — Santa’s helpers came in something big and red – but in Osawatomie, it also included lights and and a siren. The Osawatomie Graphic reported Osawatomie fire fighters used a fire truck to deliver gifts from the Miami County Sheriff’s “Cops For Toys” program to 85 families. The paper reported that it may have not been a big, red sleigh but the kids were quite happy with having their gifts brought by a fire truck. Elsewhere, the Paola police and fire departments delivered in Ppaola, the Louisburg Police Department handled that city and the Miami County Sheriff’s office and the Blue Knights delivered gifts to rural Miami County.
