OTTAWA — The Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is looking for more volunteers. The shelter will host a volunteer orientation at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. The orientation will last for about one hour. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of tasks such as playing with the dogs and cats; feeding, grooming and maintaining living environments for the animals, housekeeping and grounds maintenance, fund-raising, adoptions and other special events. Children under the age of 14 are welcome to be volunteers if accompanied by an adult while at the shelter. Call the shelter at 242-2967.
