OTTAWA — The city of Ottawa will send a survey to some Ottawans. Some Ottawans will soon hear from the city. The survey is a virtual repeat of a survey sent to citizens three years ago, city manager Richard Nienstedt said. “We’re using it as an indicator where we were three years and where we are now,” he said. The surveys will be designed to find out what Ottawans think of all city services and all branches of city operations, and what goals the city should have for the future, he said. Citizens will be able to submit comments either on the written survey or going on-line to Survey Monkey, a Web-based survey. The surveys should be sent on a random basis after the first of the new year, Nienstedt said.
