OTTAWA — There is a blizzard of activities for this week’s Ottawa Winter Adventures. There will be two Teddy Bear teas this afternoon at 3 and 4 at the Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Don Woodward Community Center. The first session is for children ages 2-4. The second session is for those 5-7. Bring a favorite bear, doll, or stuffed animal. There will be Teddy Bear-themed games and activities. Boys are welcome, too. The Rink will have skating tonight from 6 to 9, sponsored by the Ottawa Optimist Club. Ages 10 and under start at 6. All ages are 7 to 9. Bring at least one canned food item per person to be donated to hope house. At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, dodge ball at ORC’s Goppert Building, 705 W. 15th St. At 11 a.m. Wednesday, “Jazzercise for Kids” at Ottawa Jazzercise, 205 S. Main St., for children ages 4 through second grade. Kids will burn energy in a positive way through participating in this program which focuses on current dance moves, games and activities, and a brief discussion about basic nutrition. “Jazzercise for Kids” will return at 1:00 pm for third- through fifth-grade students.
The annual American Eagle Craft Day will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the American Eagle Distribution Center, 1529 N. Davis. Park at Lincoln Elementary School and rid a shuttle bus to American Eagle. Most events are free and are sponsored by the Franklin County Children’s Coalition and the Ottawa Recreation Commission.
