KINCAID — A man who tried to rob the Citizens State Bank in Kincaid last week remains at large. The Anderson County Review reported that authorities credit security measures and alert employees with foiling the robbery. After an armed robbery four years ago, the bank installed a locking vestibule at the front of the bank. When a man wearing a skeleton mask walked into the front door last week, employees locked the vestibule. When the man couldn’t get into the bank and fled, employees saw him leave and head south to K-31 and then turn east. The suspect drove away in a brown or dark silver Jeep Cherokee SUV reported stolen in Chanute. The suspect is described as a white man about 6 feet or taller, weighing about 200 pounds. The 2007 armed robbery was never solved.
