LIBERTY, Mo. — A three-year-old Liberty, Mo., boy decided he wanted to visit Grandma Tuesday morning. The Kansas City Star reported the toddler picked up the family Chihuahua in one hand and his mother’s purse in the other, went out the door, and started walking the five blocks to Grandma’s house. He, of course, didn’t tell Momma. A woman driving by spotted the boy half-way through his jaunt and stopped and then called Liberty police. Police told the Star that they used the dog’s tag and the mother’s purse to identify the toddler and quickly return him home. So quickly that they met his frantic mother at the door and who was in the process of calling police. “Three-year-olds are tough because they’re old enough to be mobile and really make some good time,” Lt. Andy Hedrick said.
