POMONA — A 1-year old Pomona toddler is recovering after being hit by a car last week. The investigation continues, but Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Curry said it appears the driver, Tina Valentine, 33, Quenemo, walked out of the house, 527 E. C St., and without her realizing it, the toddler, Summer Valentine, followed her out. Valentine struck the little girl when she was backing out of the driveway. The little girl was taken by helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
