WELLSVILLE—A shooting that killed a Wellsville man has been ruled as “accidental self-inflicted.” Because the shooting of 56-year-old Sean Thomson was unattended, it was investigated at first as a possible homicide, Jerrod Fredricks of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said. However, with further investigation, it is considered to be accidental. Thomson was found by his daughter, 22-year-old Cody Thomson, at his home at 234 Downy Drive in Wellsville Saturday afternoon with a gunshot wound in the chest. He was rushed to Olathe Medical Center where he later died.
