OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie City Council has unanimously approved a budget amendment that transfers money from the city’s electric fund to shore up other parts of the city’s budget. The Osawatomie Graphic reported no members of the public appeared to comment on the amendment. About $825,000 from the city’s electric fund was moved into 11 other city funds, including the Osawatomie Municipal Golf Course, certifying the city’s levee system, downtown street work and municipal court. The city will get $500,000 of that money back once the U.S. Department of Agriculture approves a grant and special loan for the city’s Pacific, Brown, 14th Street project, Mayor Phil Dudley said.
