TOPEKA-Aspiring authors in the state of Kansas have a chance to submit original work in the Kansas Book Festival Writing Contest. Kansas’ First Lady Mary Brownback wants to encourage reading and writing among children across the state. The contest is open to students from grades 3-12, and ends April 15th.
