GARNETT — Area legislators who represent Anderson County say this year’s session will deal with four big issues — school finance, changes to the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, redistricting and the state’s budget. Long-time Rep. Bill Feuerborn, D-Garnett, told the Anderson County Review that those four topics won’t be easy to resolve, even though Republican Gov. Sam Brownback has a super-majority of
Republicans in control of the House and Senate. Republican senator Pat Ppple of Louisburg and Rep. Bill Otto of LeRoy said they’re were expecting a busy and heavy-duty legislative session.
