TOPEKA – Gov. Sam Brownback has unveiled a proposal to boost career, vocational and technical education programs. He said that although businesses’ demand is increasing, the number of high school students enrolled in technical education has dropped. The proposal, which has won preliminary support, would use public education funds to help pay transportation and support for students in vocational and technical programs.
