TOPEKA- In the wake of Governor Sam Brownback’s State of the State Address Wednesday night, legislators have a lot of concerns in regards to proposed changes in income tax rates. The Kansas Information Network’s Jeff Zehnder reports that Democratic Representative Bill Feuerborn of Garnett is worried about the middle class. Budget Director Steve Anderson says the average family of four should have no fears.
“The average middle class family very, very seldom exceeds the standard deduction.” Anderson said. “It is those with AGI’s in excess of $100,000 who are impacted.”
