LANE — A 47-year-old Osawatomie woman was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center after a one-car crash Friday afternoon in the 2800 block of John Brown Road northwest of Lane. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Susan Gorman was driving east along John Brown Road when she fell asleep at the wheel and struck the south guardrail at a bridge causing her car to make a sharp turn and crash head-on into the north guardrail.
