PAOLA — A Paola woman was hospitalized as a result of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 169 about five miles north of Paola Tuesday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Charity Conti, 23, Paola; and John Doherty, 64, Paola; were driving south on U.S. 169 when Conti rear-ended a trailer pulled by Doherty’s truck. They were both wearing seat belts. Conti was taken to Olathe Medical Center. Although Doherty reported possible injuries, he wasn’t taken to a hospital.
