HOMEWOOD — Sometimes crime is shocking. Other times it isn’t. Evidentally this crime wasn’t. Kansas City Power & Light told the Franklin County Sheriff’s office that thieves stole wire and a transformer from a utility site at Old Highway 50 and Florida Road near Homewood sometime before Tuesday afternoon. The loss was estimated at $2,400.
