WASHINGTON – Gov. Sam Brownback and Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad are urging 20 key members of Congress to extend the wind energy production tax credit. The governors told the Associated Press that the wind energy sector is an American success story that helps the manufacturing base, creates jobs, lowers energy costs, and improves U.S. energy security. Without the credit, wind development will stop, they said.
