OTTAWA — An Ottawa man has been booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of kidnapping. Christopher Gary, 29, Ottawa, was also being held on suspicion of aggravated battery, criminal threat and suspicion of domestic battery, Lt. Adam Weingartner, Ottawa Police Department, said. Police were summoned to the 130 block of South Oak on a domestic disturbance call. Gary left the scene before officers arrive but he was later located and arrested in connection with the incident, Weingartner said. Gary was also wanted in connection with a previous domestic battery report by the same victim, Weingartner said. He was booked on the kidnapping complaint because the victim was held against her will, Weingartner said. The woman suffered minor injuries from being strangled, he said. The case has been referred to the Franklin County Attorney’s office.
