OTTAWA – A 33-year-old Ottawa man will get at least 25 years in prison for a sex crime involving a seven-year-old when he’s sentenced March 21 in Franklin County District Court. In a plea deal, Duane Brannan pleaded no contest to a charge of aggravated criminal sodomy. Four other charges were dropped. Under the state’s sentencing guidelines, Brannan faces a life sentence with at least 25 years in prison. According to court records, there will be no departures from the sentencing guidelines.
