OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 1300 block of West Austin Court in southwestern Ottawa Saturday morning. Assistant fire chief Richard Oglesby said a plug-in heater scorched the electrical box and did some damage to wiring near the box. Firefighters turned off the power and advised the occupants to contact an electrician, Oglesby said.
