PAOLA — The Miami County Sheriff’s office said a man has contacted the department after it issued an alert this weekend about someone reportedly impersonating a law enforcement officer. The department said it will issue another written statement later today. The Miami County Sheriff’s office received several reports early Saturday of someone pulling people over south of paola. The vehicle was described as a black or dark-colorED two-door coupe, possibly in the style of a Chevrolet Cobalt. The car had a single red/blue light on the visor.
